The WHO PIDM in Focus - Signal detection
VigiBase, the WHO global database of adverse event reports, provides UMC's Signal Management team with a unique international perspective on the safety of medicines and vaccines.
As well as screening VigiBase for potential signals, they work closely with WHO to strengthen the signal detection capacity of WHO PIDM members - helping to ensure the safer use of medicines and vaccines for everyone everywhere.

Hi namaste🙏 to all. The pharmaceutical & technical industry's doesn't creates cures. It creates more customer's making more money spoiled all planet 🌍life. The biggest mankind of killer is ADR-Adverse drug reactions. ( Nobody not auditing air related & water related & food related Adverse effects). Chemical drugs including air pollution & water pollution can damages all body organs. Medicine is so bad in 1823. All doctors don't never try to make money in sick room. Nowadays all doctors ( Exept few doctors) treated reports not patients. What doctors don't get study in medical school. Now I am asking one Question to all🌍. Who will say correct answer. Question: Why Adverse drug reactions happening to all patients after taking any drug.? Nobody can't say correct answer along 30 years to now. Definitely I will proove with including coming kid's. This is called World happiness organization. Thanks❤🌹🙏❤ to all🌍.

I have watched this presentation expecting pharmacovigilance but not heard the word once ! Name in the video do not matches the content.
JAYA HOS ..FROM NEPAL
Amphotericin B is hepatogenic, too.
Very good overview, which is of interest not only for drug safety specialists, but also for practical physicians. Thank you very much for that!
Very important information
No sound? Is it normal?
Hello, most of the #MedSafetyWeek animations were developed without sound because they were meant for use on social media, where people tend to watch videos in silent mode.
How can I participate in the course next year?
Thanks for your interest in the course. Application for 2020 has now closed, but keep an eye on our website and social media channels for future openings: www.who-umc.org/education-training/education-training/international-pharmacovigilance-training-course/ You might also find our free online courses of interest: www.who-umc.org/education-training/online-courses/
I think that the idea of rechallenge isn't applicable, how can I ask the reporter to make the patient reuse the drug? in my opinion, it is only applicable if it happened accidentally.
Thank you for this information.
Love UMC
Are the positions open for internationals ?? If yes, where do i need to apply??
It can be done but I am quite intrigued about the knowledge shared regarding ADR to people. As a physician, I see there should be mass awareness of drug usage and adverse effect among medical professionals too. I am an Indian doctor and I do not see much of awareness regarding ADR in doctors also. I might sound judgemental but its the harsh truth. I hope UMC can help in this regard too.
Hope more video like this
Thank you
New concept in signal detection for identifying ADRs. Thanks for explaining the concept with scenarios.
Thank you so much for this work. This lecture gave me a deep understanding of PV. I am going to build a PV reporting app.
Thank you!
Love Africa!!
A brilliant talk, Congratulations Dorothy, You are doing really a great Job👍
How can I get the account to get into WHODrug Insight?
WHODrug Insight is provided as part of a subscription to WHODrug Global.
Muy bien felicito este trabajo y los QFs San MArquinos
Please release video for pharmacovigilance training video separately for ICSR aggregate report writing signal detections. The courses are available online but it would be great if you can upload tutorial video. Also, it would be great if you can plan for India also.
All our training courses will be made available through the training website. Sign up here www.who-umc.org/education-training/online-courses/

Interesting statistics... which seems really valid. I have observed similar stats. with my MD students. Fortunately, now they know about PV. Hope they will report when the time comes.
What a clever interesting man, who explains so well the beautiful plants we share our planet with.
He has a new article in the latest issue of Uppsala Reports also
Extremely knowledgeable share , its important for any teacher/educator in any part of the world.
Dear Dr.Sten , you have given such an important aspect of PV here . Hope to see its being followed in world over with same enthusiasm and personal moral ethical code of conduct. Hope to see more of such talk in future.
Thank you.
Excelente herramienta de concientización. Felicitaciones!
Step carried out till date in medicines safety sector is only tip of iceberg.
Great!
Good stuff, progress despite challenges. Good luck for future.
Congratulations Mario go ahead!!

is the WHO-UMC document related to pharmacovigilance indicators already available???thanks Prof Ambrose for this important presentation. it is important to monitor indicators in order to check the evolution, performance and undertake appropriate measures at the right time.
